Client Accounting Associate

**Overview:** We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Client Associate to join our dynamic accounting team. As a Client Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their financial and accounting needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting/bookkeeping and possess expertise in various accounting software systems. **Responsibilities:** - Perform financial statement preparation, including balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries, in accordance with client-specific requirements. - Analyze financial data, including credit analysis, to provide clients with insightful and actionable information. - Utilize accounting software systems such as PeopleSoft and Sage to manage client data and track financial transactions. - Prepare and review financial reports, including statements and schedules, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Collaborate with clients to understand their financial goals and develop strategies to achieve those goals. - Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of client transactions, financial data, and correspondence. **Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. - Experience in public accounting or a similar accounting environment. - Proficiency in accounting software systems such as PeopleSoft and Sage. - Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. - Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. **Skills:** - Public accounting - Balance sheet reconciliation - Math - PeopleSoft - Sage - Credit analysis - Journal entries - GAAP - Accounting - Accountancy Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Physical Setting: Office Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Experience: QuickBooks: 3 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Bay Shore, NY 11706 (Required) Work Location: In person
