Threadroll Operator
Job Description
The Thread Roll/Form Operator II will work under minimal supervision to operate and perform basic setups on thread rolling and form rolling machines used in precision manufacturing and aerospace production environments. This role requires experience operating thread/form rolling equipment, interpreting shop travelers and blueprints, performing inspections, troubleshooting production issues, and maintaining dimensional tolerances. The ideal candidate will have experience with Warren, Waterbury, EWM, Roy, or Hartford rolling platforms and a strong understanding of machine operation and quality control processes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate thread rolling and form rolling machinery while following PPE and manufacturing safety procedures
Identify and verify parts using shop travelers and production documentation
Set up, operate, and tend thread roll and form roll machines according to specifications
Operate rolling equipment including Warren, Waterbury, EWM, Roy, and Hartford platforms
Adjust machine controls, tooling, feeds, speeds, and settings to maintain dimensional tolerances
Perform machine changeovers and basic setup adjustments
Monitor machine cycles and make corrections to tooling positions and clearances as needed
Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment including gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, and comparators
Verify part conformity to blueprint specifications and quality standards
Follow standard operating procedures for startup, production, quality checks, and shutdown processes
Coordinate with supervisors and lead personnel to maintain production flow and quality
Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues
Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with manufacturing standards
Required Qualifications
1-2 years of experience operating thread roll or form roll machinery
Experience in aerospace manufacturing, metal forming, or precision machining environments preferred
Basic setup experience on thread rolling or forming equipment
Familiarity with:
Warren
Waterbury
EWM
Roy
Hartford platformsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, shop travelers, and written work instructions
Basic understanding of machine tooling and machine operation
Experience using inspection and measurement tools including:
Micrometers
Gauges
Dial indicators
ComparatorsBasic shop math skills including fractions and decimals
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with comparator inspection equipment
Experience using induction heaters
Aerospace fastener manufacturing experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred
