Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / TraumaLocation: Henrico, VAAgency: Concentric Healthcare StaffingPay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details)Contract Duration: 13 WeeksStart Date: ASAPAbout the PositionJob TitleRN Emergency DepartmentLocationHenrico, VASchedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Major Holiday Required | No CallKey ResponsibilitiesConduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in a freestanding community emergency department settingAdminister medications safely, including compounding medications onsite in the absence of an on-site pharmacyInitiate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilators with support from onsite vent educator trainingProvide emergency nursing care across all age groups and acuity levels, including medical illness, trauma stabilization, pediatric care, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and behavioral health presentationsServe as a point of contact for patient care coordination across departments and collaborate with external agencies including EMS, law enforcement, crisis services, and transfer centersParticipate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and model core safety and cultural behaviors to eliminate preventable harmRequired QualificationsCurrent RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and CPI/De-escalation training requiredMinimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years of ER experience or 1 year in a freestanding ED preferredPrevious travel nursing experience requiredCritical care and conscious sedation experience requiredMust pass EKG exam at orientationPreferred Experience / SkillsBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR)TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certificationExperience operating Zoll defibrillators and familiarity with lifesaving equipment including rapid infusers and invasive monitoringWhy Join UsWork in a close-knit freestanding community emergency department with 24/7 physician coverage and a dedicated support team including paramedics and ED technicians, offering a dynamic and collaborative care environmentGain hands-on experience across a broad patient population and diverse clinical presentations in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting with opportunities for continued professional growth
