The Application Support Database Developer will report directly to the Application Support ManagerHow We WorkAs an Application Developer , you will be expected to work in a remote environment.Corpay Will Set You Up For Success By ProvidingCompany-issued equipmentRole ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:Analyzing and troubleshooting production systems and applications across a broad spectrum of technologiesPrimary focus in MS-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL based applications and adjoining systems including web/mobile applications and web servicesAssisting with monitoring and responding to reported product issues from internal and external sourcesAnalyzing complex application, system and infrastructure issuesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and resolve complex application issues, including business partners & various IT entitiesOptimizing database queries, stored procedures, and indexing for performance improvementsModifying application to mitigate defects and proactively reduce system exposure to future incidentsParticipating in system testing and validation of production changesModifications to database applications utilizing T-SQL, SQL*Server Reporting Services, SQL*Server Integration Services, Power BI, Oracle PL/SQL & Oracle FormsFamiliarize on all production changes being made to the environment and actively offer constructive means to reduce potential impacts from changePerforming other duties as assigned by the Application Support ManagerQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information SystemsProficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, Oracle PL/SQL & FormsKnowledge of job scheduler tools including SQL Server Agent & RunDeckWorking knowledge of web/mobile technologiesExperience with enterprise performance monitoring tools in the tradition of DynatraceKnowledge of MySQL databases and its procedural languageExperience developing or supporting highly complex database driven transaction processing applicationsColdfusion/CFML web applications and PHP built web portalsOracle E*Business Suite familiarityCore competency includes hands-on application support or design/development in an RDBMS database environmentProficiency in Microsoft SQL Server-based applicationsAbility to design and generate reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) & data integration and ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)Enterprise database architecture, including procedures, packages, triggers and supporting structuresStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to imagine multiple “out of the box” solutions to a problemAbility to adapt quickly to the current business challenges and technologiesFamiliarity with a broad range of enterprise technologies including sFTP, SSL/SSH, networking concepts/components, security protocols, ETLAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSuccessful candidates in these roles often have an innate curiosity, along with desire to satisfy the user communityApply Now
