Tax Return Preparer - Staff Accountant - TEMP POSITION

Small but very busy accounting firm seeks one experienced staff accountant for 2025 tax season. Recent accounting grads strongly encouraged to apply, perfect place for practicum hours! MUST be able to work 40 hours a week. MUST have proficiency in Quickbooks desktop, account reconciliation and bookkeeping, general accounting, and experience in Lacerte and ProConnect are a plus. Seeking accountant to assist handling in correct processing and filing of personal and corporate tax returns. Day to day tasks may vary, but during the season will include: -Contacting clients to request missing documentation and following up with them in a timely fashion -Processing state and Federal tax returns for personal and business returns -Bookkeeping for our business clients, generating quarterly tax forms, account reconciliation Good sense of humor, accurate work, and ability to adapt to daily needs a plus! Must be local to the Woodlands/North Houston/Humble/Conroe/Spring area and willing to commute daily to our Woodlands office. Office is casual and friendly, Monday through Friday. No suit and tie needed! Compensation is $20/hour. Position is TEMPORARY and contract ends at the end of April.
