This role works closely with leadership, HR, and clinical operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial workflows across multiple payers and service lines. This is a salaried position. Position will work with both Texas and New Mexico payroll. We are located in Westside El Paso.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & AccountingProcess accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timely paymentsReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accountsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesMaintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and GAAPTrack operating expenses, budgets, and cost allocations across departmentsPayroll & Compensation SupportProcess payroll and verify timekeeping records for hourly and salaried employeesEnsure accurate application of pay types (salary, hourly, per-visit, orientation pay, holiday pay, PTO, etc.)Manage payroll audits, corrections, and employee inquiriesCoordinate payroll-related deductions, benefits, and reimbursementsEnsure payroll compliance with federal, state, and agency-specific regulationsCompliance & Regulatory SupportEnsure financial practices align with Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulationsMaintain documentation required for audits, surveys, and financial reviewsSupport internal and external audits related to payroll, billing, and financial controlsAssist in maintaining financial policies and proceduresReporting & AnalysisPrepare financial reports for leadership, including payroll summaries and expense reportsSupport budgeting and forecasting effortsMaintain accurate financial dashboards and spreadsheetsCross-Department CollaborationWork closely with HR on onboarding, compensation changes, and benefit administrationCoordinate with clinical leadership regarding visit pay, productivity, and staffing costsServe as a point of contact for finance-related questions across the organizationQualificationsAssociate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required2+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in healthcare, home health, or hospice preferredKnowledge of payroll processing and labor lawsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyProficiency in Excel and accounting/payroll systems (Paylocity experience a plus)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with QuickBooks highly preferredGeneral Ledgers, Accounts Payable and PayrollSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesClear written and verbal communicationAbility to handle confidential and sensitive informationCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments
