Receiving Operator

This position is at our Prairie Plant in Wilmington. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Pay Range: $21.50 per hour. Core ResponsibilitiesOperates forklift to safely unload inbound shipments of finished goodsMaintains paperwork for all loadsVerifies that inbound shipments are damage-free and match packing list exactlyMaintains clean and orderly conditions in warehouse and loading areas using workplace organization methods (i.e. 6S)Participates in continuous improvement initiativesFollow all safety and equipment handling procedures to ensure a safe working environmentPull all rail kitting components to be shipped to offsite supplierLoad trucks for outbound shipments of componentsReceive and unload the trucks of incoming rail kits from supplierAssist in maintaining accurate inventory of incoming rail kitsPerforms additional duties/tasks as assigned by supervision/managementQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredA minimum of 5 years of experience operating material handling equipmentForklift Certification – either current or in prior work experienceStrong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionallyStrong attention to detail, reading, comprehension and good communication skillsMust be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environmentComputer skills preferred, to include; basic input of information into ERP system on receiving and shipping processWork schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the businessEducation Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required.
