Junior Project ManagerHybrid RoleCompensation: $37 per hourABOUT THE ROLEOur client is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join a horizontal project management team within the energy and utilities sector. In this hybrid role, you will support IT portfolio reporting, data quality governance, and process automation. You will help build and maintain monthly executive-level status presentations, monitor risks and issues across the full project portfolio, and ensure data accuracy across systems. You will also have the opportunity to develop and publish Power BI dashboards, automate manual workflows, and act as a support resource for senior project managers across the organization. If you are eager to learn and grow your project management skills in a collaborative setting, we encourage you to apply!WHAT YOU'LL DOTrack projects from initiation to deployment, acting as a horizontal support resource for senior project managers across the portfolioWork with principal and senior project managers to develop project documentation exemplifying financial health, project timelines, and project statusDevelop financial reports and monthly executive status presentations tracking project financials, actuals vs. forecast, issues, risks, and overall portfolio health for director-level reviewMaintain and enhance relationships with Finance, Business Units, and IT partnersCoordinate and support emergent initiatives and special assignments with a focus on sharing business process expertise, continuous improvement, and organizational effectivenessAssist with resource management and planning for various project workflowsBuild and maintain Power BI dashboards that consolidate project financial data (actuals, forecasts, and portfolio status)Monitor risks and issues across the full project portfolio and ensure data accuracy across systemsAutomate manual workflows to improve efficiency and support data quality governanceProvide deliverables and process expertise as needed to support senior project managers and organizational goals WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's degree in management information systems, information technology, finance, or a related fieldExperience with or eagerness to learn about the project management lifecycle and project trackingAcademic or professional experience with Power BI; ability to independently build and publish dashboards is a strong plusProven ability to create detailed, visually appealing slide decks in PowerPointExperience with MS Office desktop technologies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Demonstrated planning skills with the delivery of long and short-term goalsStrong judgment, excellent analytical ability, and consulting skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and businessComfort navigating large-scale financial data and a willingness to develop financial acumen on the job; prior experience in a finance-adjacent role is a plus but not requiredFamiliarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platformsDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
