Biomedical Equipment Technician II - ContractLocation: Dallas, TXPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of biomedical equipment.Calibrate and test medical devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the equipment management system.Collaborate with clinical staff to address equipment issues and provide technical support.Assist in the installation and setup of new biomedical equipment.Maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for equipment repair and maintenance.Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.QualificationsAssociate’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.Minimum of 3 years experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role.Strong knowledge of medical device technology, electronics, and mechanical systems.Experience with preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, Joint Commission, and OSHA.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Certification such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) preferred.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in Dallas, TX and involves working in hospital and clinical settings. The role may require occasional lifting of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.Contract DetailsThis is a contract position with a defined duration.
