Job Summary The Secondary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics to students at the middle or high school level. The role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment that supports academic success and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional lessons aligned with curriculum standards Teach a range of mathematics topics Develop lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe and productive learning environment Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into lessons Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field Valid teaching certification/licensure for secondary education Strong knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and engage students Preferred Skills Experience teaching at the secondary level Familiarity with curriculum standards and assessment frameworks Classroom management expertise Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems Working Conditions Classroom setting in a middle or high school environment May require occasional evening or weekend work (e.g., parent-teacher conferences, school events) Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to move around the classroom and assist students as needed
