Civil Engineer - Professional Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will lead and support a wide range of civil engineering projects, ensuring their successful planning, design, and execution. Your expertise will drive the development of infrastructure projects, water and wastewater systems, and land surveying initiatives. You will be instrumental in managing project timelines, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing cutting-edge software tools to deliver high-quality results. Duties
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets using project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project to ensure timely delivery
Prepare detailed schematics, technical drawings, and system designs utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software
Conduct geotechnical assessments and land surveying activities with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and ArcGIS to inform project planning
Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water treatment, wastewater management, stormwater systems (SWMM), and hydraulics calculations using HEC programs and Mathcad
Oversee construction management activities including construction inspection, quality assurance, safety compliance, and progress monitoring
Generate accurate construction estimates and bid proposals through construction estimating techniques
Collaborate with project teams on system design for pipelines, water treatment facilities, and mechanical systems while ensuring adherence to technical standards
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for project proposals, progress updates, and final deliverables
Coordinate land surveying efforts to establish accurate site layouts and boundary delineations in accordance with civil engineering standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred
Proven experience in project scheduling, construction management, and civil engineering design processes
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, HEC software (Hydrologic Engineering Center), Mathcad, SWMM (Storm Water Management Model), and other relevant technical tools
Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, hydraulics systems, water/wastewater treatment processes, system design standards, and land surveying techniques
Skilled in technical writing for reports and project documentation; excellent drafting abilities
Familiarity with construction inspection procedures and safety protocols on-site
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and team members
