They focus on supporting these businesses as they grow, providing operational guidance, team-building expertise, and resources to help them scale successfully.They are looking for you, an experienced Controller, who thrives in both hands-on accounting and strategic leadership. This is a direct hire opportunity with high visibility, reporting directly to the CEO, and offering a clear path to CFO as the company scales.What You Get To Do Build and lead the internal accounting function, transitioning from an outsourced model Oversee day-to-day accounting operations while managing a team of 5–6 staff Develop processes, procedures, and accounting manuals for scalability Support M&A activity, including due diligence and integration of acquired businesses Evaluate and implement accounting systems and tools to improve efficiency Partner with leadership to drive financial strategy and long-term growth Assist with offboarding current outsourced accounting firm and bringing operations in-houseWhat You Need To Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with Controller-level responsibilities preferred Industry experience in MEP, construction, engineering, or a related field Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (ServiceTitan experience is a plus) Experience building or scaling accounting functions Ability to operate both tactically and strategically in a high-growth environment Interest in process improvement, automation, and modernizing accounting systemsWhat’s In It For You Competitive compensation with bonus potential Clear path to CFO as the company grows Comprehensive healthcare benefits with 70% employer-paid for employee coverage Dental, Vision, and 401(k) with match Flexible PTO (3 weeks) High-impact role with direct exposure to executive leadership and investors Opportunity to shape the future of a fast-scaling, acquisition-driven businessApply now!
