We are looking for an experienced Controls Design Engineer – BMS to join our engineering team in Pelzer, South Carolina for an onsite opportunity.This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in Facility Management Systems (FMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center Controls, PLC systems, and electrical controls design.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop FMS/BMS solutions for data centers, power modules, and IT modulesCreate controls designs for lighting systems, switchgear, standby generators, UPS systems, battery cabinets, MV/LV distribution, door access control, and CCTV systemsPrepare riser diagrams, I/O tables, programming parameters, and Sequence of Operations for BMS systemsSupport projects from pre-sales through commissioning and final deliveryWork with third-party suppliers to develop control schemes using PLCs and relay-based systemsGenerate Bills of Materials (BOM) and modify standard assemblies based on project needsManage integration partners for schematic design, detailed design, and construction documentationCollaborate with electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams for complete project executionEnsure compliance with customer specifications, local/state/federal codes, and building standardsSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and onsite startup activitiesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experienceMinimum 4+ years of Controls Engineering experienceStrong knowledge of FMS/BMS design, installation, and system integrationExperience with PLCs, relays, and building automation systemsFamiliarity with Ethernet protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, TCP/IP, and RS-485Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk engineering toolsStrong understanding of modular construction drawings and equipment specificationsExperience interpreting customer technical requirements and specificationsExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to provide innovative engineering solutionsPreferred:Professional Engineering (PE) License (preferred but not mandatory)Experience in data center, telecom, or mission-critical infrastructure projects
