Linux & VMware Infrastructure Migration EngineerRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.4+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, system administration, or migration projects.Proven experience delivering large-scale data center and server migration initiatives, including Physical-to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V), and site-to-site migrations.Strong expertise in Linux operating systems, including system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and OS internals.Extensive experience with VMware ESXi and vSphere environments, including:Host deployment and configurationVirtual machine provisioningvMotion and Storage vMotionDistributed Resource Scheduler (DRS)High Availability (HA)Deep understanding of iSCSI storage networking, multipathing configurations, and storage troubleshooting.Advanced knowledge of Linux Logical Volume Manager (LVM), including volume creation, management, snapshots, and migration activities.Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps tools, including Git, Maven, and Jenkins.Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
