Hardware Engineer

Job Title: Hardware Design EngineerLocation: Mountain View, CADuration: Long TermClient: CariadJob Description:We are seeking an experienced Lead Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in PCB design and development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have around 5+ years of experience in hardware design, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable electronic systems.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end hardware design and development, from concept through productionDesign and develop multi-layer PCBs, including schematic capture and layout reviewCollaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, software, and mechanical engineeringPerform component selection, circuit simulation, and validationDrive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) practicesConduct board bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysisEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsSupport prototype builds, testing, and production ramp-upMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadershipRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in hardware design with strong PCB expertiseProficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCADStrong understanding of analog and digital circuit designExperience with high-speed design, signal integrity, and power integrityHands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance and debuggingExperience working through full product lifecycle
