Digital Storyteller

Digital Storyteller 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period Hours generally between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility needed for evening and weekend events. Position Overview:The Digital Storyteller plays a critical role in telling our mission-driven story and deepening engagement with our mission, vision and values through compelling content. This caregiver is people-orientated, has a passion for storytelling and capturing inspiring photos and videos, and is savvy when it comes to multi-channel marketing. The Digital Storyteller will take our everyday happenings and transform them into a narrative that our community will engage with. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Creates and curates compelling content, writing, editing, capturing and designing, for internal and external communications across multiple platforms, aligned with brand and strategic goals. Plans and executes digital storytelling strategies from concept to completion across marketing channels, including social media, website and email. Manages social media channels, including content planning, posting, monitoring and audience engagement. Collaborates across teams to develop multi-channel campaigns (digital, social, web, email, print), applying brand standards, SEO and best practices to reach key audiences. Ability to contribute to the marketing process from developing creative concepts and writing to shooting and editing. Builds strong connections between media and caregivers, coordinating interviews, photography, video and meaningful story development. Writes and distributes news releases, pitches feature stories, and creates content across digital, print and video channels. Contributes to improving social and other digital platforms by researching, evaluating, recommending and implementing solutions and new functionality that help drive engagement. Produces videos for use internally and externally, including concept generation, running cameras/audio/lighting, filming and post-production, and posting. Coordinates and shoots photography/video including candid and event photography. Assists with email marketing campaigns ensuring all messages meet marketing goals, branding and editorial standards. Assists with graphic design related projects including printed materials, web, multimedia, and analytics. Supervisory Responsibilities:No direct reports. Skills and Experience:Required: 1-3 years of experience with video editing, social media marketing, digital communications, writing and editing, or related work. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Strong writing/editing skills and familiar with AP Style. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve. Experience with email marketing campaigns including producing and writing messages and/or CRM knowledge. Proficient in social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc. Experience with media buying. Preferred: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Advertising, New Media, or related field. Healthcare-related experience.
