For over 20 years, LER has worked with customers across North America to meet complex engineering and technology challenges.What You Will Be DoingDesign, deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based HPC clusters from bare-metal hardware through fully operational production environments.Administer Linux operating systems, cluster provisioning, compute nodes, storage, networking, and supporting infrastructure.Configure and support HPC workload scheduling, resource management, monitoring, and performance optimization.Troubleshoot complex hardware, operating system, network, storage, and cluster-level issues.Maintain highly available, reliable, secure, and scalable HPC environments supporting engineering and scientific computing workloads.Automate system provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and administrative processes where appropriate.Support HPC infrastructure throughout its lifecycle, including upgrades, patching, capacity planning, performance tuning, and hardware refreshes.Partner with engineering and technical users to ensure HPC resources effectively support computational workloads.What You'll Need to Be SuccessfulEssential:Strong Linux Systems Administration experience supporting HPC, compute cluster, or large-scale technical computing environments.Hands-on experience deploying and administering bare-metal Linux servers and compute nodes.Experience with HPC cluster architecture, workload schedulers, storage systems, networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting.Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.Experience supporting highly available production infrastructure with an emphasis on performance, reliability, scalability, and security.Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across hardware, Linux, storage, networking, and HPC environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.ITAR / DoD RequirementThis position supports U.S. Department of Defense programs and involves access to ITAR-controlled technical data. Candidates must meet applicable U.S. Person requirements under ITAR and be eligible to access export-controlled information.
