Job Title: Outreach Leader Location: Boston, MA Duration: 4 Months+ Note: The worker needs to be in the Boston area to support events in that location. These events can be held in and around the Boston, MA area. This position is similar to Brand Ambassadors where workers are out in the field supporting and promoting Client at local events, festivals, etc. Events typically run from Wed-Sunday lasting 3-5 hours each. There are generally 3 events per week from around 10am-6pm. This is a part time, as needed position. Job Description: client is seeking outgoing, well-organized, and committed advocates for biking and social equity to join the client team as an Outreach Leader. As Outreach Leader, you will represent the client brand, promote client memberships, register new members, and educate local residents about the power of bike share. This is a seasonal position, offering up to 15 hours per week with mainly daytime hours and occasional evening and weekend work for special events. Key Aspects of Position: Represent the Clients brand at assigned events and locations which could include cliients stations, community events/ meetings, organized rides, and other special events in local city. Participate as a member of the clients Outreach Team in making events successful by effectively disseminating information, encouraging registration, managing registration and facilitating an enjoyable and productive event experience for all participants. Elevate Client as a valuable and prominent presence within target communities Assist community members with enrollment in the clients program on a mobile in-person basis Conduct in-person demonstrations on how to use the kiosk, app and/or clients key, and take interested residents (who sign a waiver) for short demonstration bike rides Ability to write detailed notes describing the event and feedback from residents and potential customers. Manage databases and spreadsheets required for events. Demonstrate clients bike features, check-in/out procedures for bikes and kiosk sign up to potential customers Willingness and ability to work off-hours and/or weekends Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience: 18 years of age or older Must live in the City of recruiting in Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, bending, stooping, standing long hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds Can communicate effectively with people of all ages, abilities, cultural groups, economic statuses, sexual orientations, and disabilities.
