Sales Coordinator

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:Assisting Catering and Event Management, Convention Services and Catering Manager with day to day office needsProviding phone coverage and assist with incoming Sales inquiriesDistributing faxes and other communication to appropriate areasCreating files and miscellaneous filing of files, papers, checks, electronic communication, etc.Creating Sales/Catering menu kits and restocking supply area as appropriateControlling office supplies when necessaryCreating and distributing department information as appropriate (Banquet Event Orders, Catering information, etc.)Coordinating maintenance of office equipmentPerform client billingCreating contracts and correspondence as director by each managerCreate and distribute report as assigned for review by managersDeliver DKN's "Home Away From Home" experienceCapturing all Sales information in the Reserve sales systemPerform Site tours as directed by the Sales Manager or the GM*Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time. *Supervisory Responsibility:NoneIndependent Judgment Used:Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within the Company policies and proceduresWorking Conditions/Environment:Office area. Access to entire interior and exterior of property.High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year experience in Hospitality sales.Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:Ability to effectively communicate in English with guests/visitors, management and fellow team members to their understanding. Professional and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task in a high-profile, high-traffic environment, ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and OutlookPhysical Requirements:Frequent standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
