Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Funding Specialist to work in our Water business unit in our Marion, IL, O'Fallon, IL or St. Louis, MO office. This position requires 4+ years of experience.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Identify, track and evaluate federal, state and local funding and grant opportunities relevant to water and wastewater projects.Support preparation, submission and management of grant and funding applications.Administer awarded grants, including compliance tracking, reporting, reimbursement requests and close-out activities.Coordinate with project managers, accounting and technical teams to ensure funding requirements are met.Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with funding agency requirements.Monitor regulatory and funding program changes impacting water infrastructure projects.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Experience in grant administration, funding management, or related roles.Strong knowledge of grant compliance, reporting and documentation requirements.Experience working in consulting, engineering, utilities, or public sector environments preferred.Strong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)Must possess a valid driver's licenseMust complete a background checkEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Finance, or related fieldSALARY RANGE:Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.Why come work for us?
