Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Packing Specialist to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently packing and organizing materials, ensuring accuracy and quality control in preparation for project deployment. This role requires familiarity with construction processes, blueprint reading, and construction management software to support project workflows and ensure timely delivery of materials. The Packing Specialist will collaborate closely with project managers, supervisors, and field teams to maintain operational excellence on construction sites.
Responsibilities
Accurately pack and label construction materials, tools, and equipment according to project specifications and schematics.
Ensure all packing procedures comply with safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
Maintain inventory records and update tracking systems using construction management software like Primavera P6 or ProCore.
Assist in verifying quantities against blueprints, schematics, and project schedules to prevent shortages or overages.
Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate packing schedules aligned with project timelines.
Conduct quality control inspections on packed items to ensure integrity and compliance with project standards.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical component verification when necessary.
Support the preparation of materials for shipment or onsite use, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
Prior experience in construction site operations, logistics, or material handling preferred.
Familiarity with construction management software including Primavera P6, Primavera HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and ProCore is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
Supervising or management experience within a construction environment is a plus.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to material handling and site operations.
Experience with construction estimating, budgeting, quality control, and project scheduling is advantageous.
Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is beneficial. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
