We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.We need a Factory Shift Lead to own the evening shift, set the pace, and execute clean handoffs both directions. Nox Metals is an employer with real opportunity for long term career growth, this is a place to build a career, not just hold a job.Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.You will:Lead the evening shift team, set the pace, own the outcome, execute a clean handoffTake a clean handoff from day shift and leave a clean handoff for the next morningOperate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systemsLoad, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to specRun forklifts and overhead cranesFollow cut lists and production schedules with precisionReceive inbound material and verify against purchase ordersPackage, label, and stage outbound shipmentsRecord cut data and job completions in our software systems, accurately, every timeAlways ask questions, never guess when something is unclearLook at every process and figure out how to make it betterKeep the floor clean, organized, and ready for the next jobWork safely every shift and hold your teammates to the same standardYou are:Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals service center, bandsaws, industrial saws, CNC equipment, or skilled tradesA natural leader, you set the standard for the shift and people follow because of how you work, not because of a titleCommitted to safety, you follow every protocol, wear your PPE, and never cut corners that put people at riskHigh attention to quality, every cut, every cert, every shipmentAlways thinking about how to make processes better, you do not accept "this is how we have always done it"Absolutely customer obsessed, delivery timelines matter because customers are counting on themA team player with a good attitude, you make the shift better for everyone around youSomeone who takes ownership, if it is your shift, it is your responsibilityPrecise under pressure and reliable, evening shift runs because you show up readyComfortable with software, we track everything digitally and you will tooOrganized and detail orientedHigh agency, you handle big items alone and ask for help when neededLow ego, you do the unglamorous work because it needs to get doneAble to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment on your feet for a full shiftNot afraid to work outside normal hours when America demands itNever says "that's not my job"Nice to have:Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chainsForklift and/or overhead crane certificationPrior shift lead or supervisory experience in manufacturingComfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarterThis role is full time, in person in Detroit.
