Wireless Cellular / Radio Engineer - W2 Contract Onsite

//W2 Contract Onsite Position in Plano, TX///One of our clients, an International IT support & solutions serving the automotive industry is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Wireless Cellular / Radio Engineer to support the design, deployment, and evolution of Private Cellular (4G/5G) and Radio infrastructure across North America.In this role, you will partner with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performance cellular solutions across campuses, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and remote sites.This is a hands-on + strategic role involving architecture, deployment, optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Private Cellular (4G/5G) initiatives including PoCs and production deploymentsDesign, test, and implement cellular/radio solutionsLead and execute small to large-scale projects (strategic and tactical)Serve as an escalation point for project and operational issuesConduct site surveys and develop coverage plansCoordinate deployments, upgrades, and expansions across multiple sitesCollaborate with vendors on solution selection and issue resolutionMonitor system performance and proactively resolve issuesManage change requests for cellular/radio systemsMaintain documentation including operational support guidesSupport enterprise service tickets as neededTravel to sites for deployment, testing, and validationRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)8–10 years of relevant professional experienceStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsTechnical Requirements:Experience with DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) and signal boosting solutionsHands-on experience with Private Cellular (4G/5G, CBRS or licensed spectrum)Strong knowledge of RF and LTE networksSolid understanding of networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls)Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, iPerfExperience evaluating system performance and scalabilityCisco certification (CCNA or higher)Experience designing and deploying Private Cellular networks end-to-endWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed.
