Server - Sofia Restaurant
What you'll do:
Serve guests in a professional manner as per training guidelines.
Apply knowledge of the full menu and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours, table numbers, and payment options.
Take food and drink orders from customers with a positive attitude.
Accurately enter orders into the POS for transmittal to kitchen staff.
Use suggestive upselling techniques to offer food specials, menu items, daily desserts, and other promotions.
Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Receive customer payments, complete guest check transactions, and tender proper change to customers.
Turn in all cash and change transactions at the end of each shift.
Cross-serve and/or assist team members on an as-needed basis.
Complete all assigned opening/closing side work to prepare the dining room, bar, kitchen, and service stations for efficient operation during meal periods.
Re-stock items in the dining room and bar as needed and alert kitchen staff and manager of stock shortages.
Communicate health and/or safety concerns or violations immediately to management.
Employees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
Perform additional job duties requested by management.

Qualifications
High school or equivalent education required.
Experience in F&B setting with high volume, preferably in upscale hotel/bar/restaurant.
Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government-required licenses, certificates or permits; must be "SERV Safe Certified" by the State of Florida.

Must be able to work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind with minimal ventilation and small/enclosed space.
Ability to physically and safely handle equipment, mirrors, or other display items as well as grasp, lift, push/pull and carry the same from shelves and otherwise transport up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel/restaurant on a timely basis.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill required tasks.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and co-workers.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception.
Requires manual and finger dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
