With competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package, TAG is an exciting place to work.Market Equipment is seeking a Light Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to support bakery and deli customers in and around the Great Falls, MT area.Role Summary:The Light Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing bakery and deli refrigeration equipment in active retail environments. This role focuses on self-contained and small remote systems and requires strong troubleshooting skills, customer communication, and the ability to work independently in the field.Roles and Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, service, and repair light commercial refrigeration equipment, including reach-in coolers/freezers, prep tables, bakery display cases, deli cases, and small walk-in coolers/freezersDiagnose refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical system issues and perform repairs efficientlyPerform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and food safety complianceCheck refrigerant levels, pressures, superheat, and subcoolingReplace compressors, evaporator and condenser fan motors, contactors, relays, and controls as neededIdentify and repair refrigerant leaks in compliance with EPA regulationsSafely recover, evacuate, and charge refrigeration systemsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment conditionComplete service documentation accurately using mobile service platformsMaintain service vehicle, tools, and parts inventoryFollow all company safety policies and jobsite proceduresSkills and Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of light commercial refrigeration service experienceHands-on experience with bakery, deli, grocery, or foodservice refrigeration equipmentStrong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skillsEPA Universal Certification requiredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to prioritize service calls and manage daily workloadValid driver's license with a good driving recordWillingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtimePreferred Qualifications:Experience servicing bakery display cases and deli prep equipmentWalk-in cooler/freezer service experienceBasic hot-side equipment knowledge (ovens, proofers, warmers)Experience using digital service platforms and mobile dispatch systemsPrior grocery or retail refrigeration service experienceBenefits:Competitive payMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurancePaid vacation, holidays, and sick time401(k)Company service vehicle, phone, and toolsYear-round, steady workOpportunities for advancementSupportive, technician-focused work environment
