Software Validation Engineer

W2 Contract: 6 MonthsPay Rate: $62.50/hr.Onsite: Goleta, CA- must be willing to travel onsite The Software Validation Engineer designs and develops software test programs for automated and manual testing of infrared camera systems. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining and running a suite of camera validation test applications, analyzing test results, reporting results in a detailed and organized fashion, and assisting with identified issues.Requirements:BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, EE, Math, or related field or equivalent experience in industry2+ or more years’ experience in an engineering verification or validation is desired but not requiredRequires knowledge of Windows as a development and test environment, Linux is a plusExperience writing test code for reuse, executing test cases, and generating reportsExperience writing validation test plans with automated and manual test casesTest automation experience adapted to embedded development is very helpful Ability to write and understand Python code is critical. Understanding C, C++, and/or C# is helpfulExperience with PyTest will be very helpfulExperience with software version control (SVN, Git), project tracking, and bug-tracking/ticket systems is helpfulContinuous Integration tool expertise is valuable – especially Jenkins.Must be a US Person: US Citizen or US Permanent Resident required.Experience using Jama for test case management is very helpful but not requiredExperience with the Atlassian SW suite is also very helpful but not required (Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence)
