Job TypePart-timeDescriptionThe primary function of this role is assisting patients of Optical Outlets while supporting the Doctor and Office Manager to ensure excellent patient flow.Essential FunctionsAttract and retain customers by providing unsurpassed customer serviceGreet customers and explain the process and exam pricing in a transparent wayCheck-in and pretest patients in an efficient and accurate mannerEnsure insurance is properly verified prior to Doctor encounterAnswer phones properly and in a timely mannerAssist in other areas of the office as necessary, including dispensing eyewearServe as a center of excellence for others with a focus on Right the First Time providing outstanding patient satisfaction from the first interactionHandle tasks such as adjusting, or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly, ensuring details are thorough and exactInform Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patientsPerform all tasks assigned by Office ManagerRequirementsJob SpecificationsTypically Has The Following Skills Or AbilitiesOne to two years of experience in related fieldWorking knowledge of MS Office packageEffective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquiriesEffective written communication skills to clearly document patient visitsExcellent interpersonal and rapport-building skillsAbility to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify patient needsAbility to listen, process transactions and interact with patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentWorking ConditionsThe working environment is generally favorable.
