Position Summary: The Tower Services Team of Mercury Broadband builds and services all of Mercury’s tower sites. The team should be professional in attitude and appearance and engaged with our tower landlords and construction manager’s needs. Tower Services should be mindful and thorough in their work; following installation and safety guidelines, and instructions from the Tower Team Leader. Location: Mt. Vernon, OHPosition Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive Pay Benefits: Health, Vision, Basic Dental & Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401k, Paid Time Off, Paid Training, Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Manage Tower Installation Teams installing broadband equipment on assigned tower sitesInteract with landlord tower owners and landlord CMs, represent the company in a professional mannerProperly configure and connect tower equipment to the Mercury Network Troubleshoot broadband tower equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve network outagesAssigned company fleet vehicle. Responsible for needed maintenance and completing vehicle inspection forms.Assigned company tools and tower rigging equipment Responsible for assigned Tower Team work orders ensuring completion and closeoutAssist in training Tower Technician I, II and IIIAssist Sales with high value customersCommunicate with Tower Landlords and Site OwnersAssist sales team with localized marketing effortsManage vital business relationships and troubleshoot complex issuesRespond to and facilitate resolution of Network ticketsCreate tower Bill of Materials for broadband equipment installationAssist with new tower site construction, planning and ordering materials Skills & Requirements: Follow cabling procedures for wiring towersComfortable working towers (up to 300’) and elevated locations Basic mechanical skillsKnowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power toolsBasic computer skills and proficiency with computersBasic computer networking skills and knowledgeUse of PC based applications to program and diagnose various communications equipment Clean driving record and valid driver’s licenseSelf-Motivated Customer service oriented and professional in appearance Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing5+ years as Tower Foreman or equivalent on job experienceFirst Aid/CPR certifiedOSHA 30Tower Climbing Training/RescueRescue CertifiedElectrical Safety TrainingRF Safety Training Physical Requirements:Ability to climb with up to a 30 lb. load and work at elevated heights up to 500', with most of the work performed at 300' or less; must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedlyAbility to stand continuously, reach frequently, & bend at waist and knees frequentlyRequires working outdoors in all types of weatherAbility to stoop, crawl, squat and lift 50 lbs.; and be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead occasionallyRequires good finger and hand dexterity to utilize various hand tools in a repetitive manner Company Provided Training: Aerial and Safety TrainingOSHA CertificationsInstallation and Equipment TrainingEthernet WiringNetworking Training and ConceptsEligible for $5/hour Hazard Pay while climbing tower Mercury Broadband is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
