Technicians support the child, family, and team members delivering interventions designed specifically for each unique individual.Essential Skills and Qualifications:High school diploma and/or college degree1 plus years experience working with behavioral clients, preferably childrenMust be 21 years of age or olderMust have a valid driver license and reliable transportationResponsibilities:Assist in client supervision and implementation of instructional and treatment programming.Build rapport with each student, creating and maintaining motivationAssist in making materials for instructional and treatment programsMaintain confidentiality of clients and their familiesParticipates in initial and follow-up training in applied behavior analysis methodology and physical managementKeeps CPR and First Aid certification currentCompletes necessary training to demonstrate the knowledge of behavioral principles and instructional strategies. This includes implementation of complex curriculum and behavior plans, data collection and analysisAttend and participate in clinical meetings for home-based staffAssists supervisor in additional tasks, such as assessments, probing new skills, completing ABC behavior data, etc.Physical Requirements of the Job:Able to sit and stand frequently and shift positions quicklyAble to do the following for extended periods of time:Sit/kneel on floorSit in a chairStandWalkAble to physically manage teenagers/young adults, including providing physical guidance, physical prompts, bendingAble to move quickly and keep up with running teenagers/young adultsPass crisis management training and safely apply physical management procedures on children when necessaryJob Type: Part-timePay: $37,000COVID-19 considerations:Firefly has been fortunate enough to keep all staff employed without reduction in hours during Covid-19, and we are committed to following CDC guidelines.Job Type: Full-timePay: $36,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
