Plant Engineer

The Plant Engineer provides hands-on engineering and project management support for manufacturing operations, with a focus on capital projects, process improvement, safety, and cost reduction. This role partners closely with plant leadership to ensure reliable equipment performance, standardized utilities, and a safe, high-quality production environment.Salary Range: $95,000–$115,000Key Responsibilities:* Lead manufacturing engineering projects, including scope development, cost justification, timelines, and execution* Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives* Support workflow optimization, labor efficiency, packaging improvements, and freight cost analysis* Develop and maintain standardized plant utility systems* Support safety initiatives, including lockout/tagout and arc flash programs* Develop equipment documentation, training materials, and preventive maintenance schedules* Support the design, improvement, and fabrication of internally developed and purchased manufacturing equipmentRequired Qualifications:* 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (plastics processing preferred)Preferred Qualifications:* Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related)* 2D CAD drafting skills for layouts and equipment requests; 3D modeling experience a plus* Basic knowledge of industrial power distribution and control systems* Familiarity with ladder logic; pneumatic control design is a plus
