Material Handler

Position: Material HandlerLocation: Hickory, NCShift: 12-hour Day Shift- (2-2-3 schedule)Pay Rate: $19.93/hourSummary DescriptionReporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This role supports production flow, inventory accuracy, and overall warehouse operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and organization.What You’ll Be DoingUse computer systems to pull pick lists and stage materials for production jobsScan and track materials to ensure accurate inventory and location controlMonitor WIP racks and ensure availability for incoming materialsApply and scan labels for all WIP rolls before storageReturn unused raw materials and rolls to the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling and scanningEnsure all rolls are properly secured before movementLoad scrap pallets and dispose of materials in designated areasOperate forklifts and other equipment to move materials throughout the plantPerform daily forklift safety inspections in compliance with OSHA standardsFollow all plant safety and food safety policiesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSupport cycle counts and year-end inventory activitiesJob RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, and forklift operationRegular use of scan guns and computer systemsOccasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouchingAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs as neededWe’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing environmentYou have prior forklift experienceYou can safely handle materials and equipmentYou can work independently and solve problems with minimal supervisionYou bring a strong attention to detail and accountabilityYou are comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentYou can take initiative and support team operationsBenefitsAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
