Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician keeps a high-volume, continuous-run manufacturing facility operating safely and efficiently. This position focuses heavily on mechanical maintenance with additional electrical responsibilities, supporting a wide range of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and production machinery. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and fabricating components to minimize downtime and maintain smooth plant operations.Industry: High-Volume ManufacturingEmployment Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Second or Third Shift with Rotating SaturdaysSecond Shift: MondayFriday, 2:00 p.m.10:00 p.m. (paid 30-minute lunch) + rotating Saturdays 6:00 a.m.2:00 p.m.Third Shift: MondayFriday, 10:00 p.m.6:00 a.m. (paid 30-minute lunch) + rotating Saturdays 6:00 p.m.6:00 a.m.Job Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical issues on production equipment.Perform approximately 90% mechanical and 10% electrical maintenance across plant systems.Install, adjust, and replace mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, roller conveyors, and related assemblies.Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.Perform light welding and machining for equipment repair and part fabrication, including MIG and stick welding.Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals to guide repair work.Clean, inspect, and prepare parts during maintenance tasks.Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components including cylinders, valves, hoses, and controls.Maintain and repair conveyor systems, including rollers, belts, drives, and structural components.Safely work with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems for basic troubleshooting and repairs.Assist with higher-level electrical tasks such as schematic interpretation and PLC-related troubleshooting.Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to leadership and team members.Collaborate with maintenance teammates to prioritize work and support continuous plant operations.Work scheduled shifts with rotating Saturday coverage and seasonal overtime during peak production periods.Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and plant policies.Skills/Qualifications:5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.Strong mechanical repair experience, especially with conveyors and high-volume production equipment.Hands-on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including component replacement and troubleshooting.Ability to safely work with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems.Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret technical prints, schematics, and manuals.Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing setting.Capability to perform light welding and machining for equipment and part fabrication.Experience with conveyor maintenance in an industrial environment.Ability to work rotating Saturdays and additional hours during peak seasons.Comfortable working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with corrugated machinery or prior work in a box plant.Familiarity with PLCs and the ability to read electrical schematics for advanced troubleshooting.Experience with VFDs.MIG and stick welding experience.Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced, continuous-run operation.Why This Role Stands Out:This position offers long-term stability in a well-established manufacturing operation with a tight-knit maintenance team known for collaboration and strong tenure.Technicians gain exposure to a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems, with opportunities to grow skills in welding, machining, automation, and advanced troubleshooting.Regular performance reviews support professional development, and consistent shift schedules help maintain work-life balance while still offering overtime opportunities during peak seasons.Work Environment:This role is based in a heavy industrial plant with continuous-run production.Equipment includes roller conveyors, corrugated machinery, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and 3-phase 480V electrical power.Additional hours may be required during holidays and peak production periods.Standard industrial attire and PPE are required.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheat Ridge, CO.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
