Job Description
Work Arrangement: OnsiteLocation: Washington, DC Duration: 12 month contract, with possible extension W-2 or 1099 No C2C, visa transfers, or sponsorship The DNA Group is seeking a Master Web Designer (Drupal Web Developer). In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and enhance Drupal-based web applications and digital platforms while ensuring secure, scalable, accessible, and user-centered web experiences. You will collaborate with designers, stakeholders, content teams, and IT leadership to deliver modern web solutions aligned with organizational goals and best practices.Overview Requirements:• Develop, configure, and maintain Drupal websites using Drupal 9/10/11• Build custom Drupal modules, themes, and integrations following best practices• Implement and maintain content types, taxonomies, views, menus, and blocks• Perform updates, security patching, module upgrades, and troubleshooting• Optimize websites for accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), SEO, responsiveness, and performance• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs, GraphQL, SSO, CRM, and payment gateways• Work with cloud hosting platforms such as Acquia, Pantheon, AWS, and Azure• Implement CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployments• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver user-friendly web interfaces• Partner with content teams to improve editorial workflows and permissions• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities• Maintain documentation for deployments, configurations, and custom development• Ensure adherence to coding standards, peer reviews, and version control processesMinimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience• Strong experience with Drupal 9/10/11 development and architecture• Proficiency in PHP, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design• Experience with Composer, Drush, Git, and modern development workflows• Knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization• Experience with cloud hosting environments such as AWS, Azure, Acquia, or Pantheon• Understanding of accessibility standards, web security, and performance optimization• Experience with headless or decoupled Drupal architectures• Familiarity with React, Vue, or other modern JavaScript frameworks• Experience with Docker or containerized development environments• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsRequired Experience: • Designing User Interfaces and Building Webpages: 16+ years (Required)• HTML and CSS Experience: 16+ years (Required)• Web Design Conventions, User Experience, and Web Standards: 16+ years (Required)• Web Optimization and Best Practices: 16+ years (Required)• Strong Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: 10 years (Required)• Headless or Decoupled Drupal Architectures: 10 years (Required)• React, Vue, or Other Modern JavaScript Frameworks: 10 years (Required)• Building Custom Drupal Modules, Themes, and Integrations: 10 years (Required)• Drupal 9/10/11 Website Development and Maintenance: 10 years (Required)• Content Types, Views, Taxonomies, Blocks, and Menus: 10 years (Required)• Version Control, Peer Reviews, and Coding Standards: 10 years (Required)• Docker or Containerized Development Environments: 10 years (Required)• Acquia Drupal Developer or Site Builder Certification: 10 years (Required)• Agile/Scrum Environment Experience: 10 years (Required)• Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: 10 years (Required)• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Related Field or Equivalent Experience: 20 years (Required) This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Team oriented — cooperative and collaborative• People-oriented — enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects• Adaptable/flexible — enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction• Detail-oriented — would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture• Achievement-oriented — enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail• Autonomous/Independent — enjoys working with little direction• Innovative — prefers working in unconventional ways or on tasks that require creativity• High stress tolerance — thrives in a high-pressure environment The DNA Group maintains a drug free workplace and conducts pre-employment drug-testing, where applicable, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
