Process Technician

⭐⭐⭐ *Process Technician* ⭐⭐⭐ *Pay Rate:* $23.00/hour + shift differential *Location:* Schenectady, NY (On-site) *Employment Type:* Full-Time *Schedule:* 12-hour shifts, 1st or 3rd shift; rotating schedule of 2 days on, 3 days off *Education/Experience:* Associate's or bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering OR experience in high-tech manufacturing required Our client is seeking a *Process Technician* to support advanced manufacturing operations in *Schenectady, NY*. This hands-on technical role involves working with *thin film process equipment*, including physical vapor deposition (PVD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and electropolishing/electroplating processes, as well as related testing and characterization tools. The Process Technician will support manufacturing, testing, equipment maintenance, and data collection while following established operating procedures and laboratory safety protocols. This position involves working with *cryogens such as liquid nitrogen, various chemicals, and high temperatures*. *Responsibilities of the Process Technician will include:* * Support shift operations for *HTS manufacturing processes*, electrical testing, and thin film characterization, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. * Assist with maintenance and assembly of hardware components used in *PVD, CVD, and electropolishing/electroplating equipment*. * Work with components including *vacuum pumps, vacuum fittings, heaters*, sputter sources, motorized drives, sensors, and temperature and flow controls. * Accurately follow *Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)* and *laboratory safety protocols* for manufacturing processes, testing, and characterization tools. * Maintain *detailed notes *during test measurements and support best practices for *test procedures, data chain integrity, and production control* protocols. * Prepare accurate and detailed *data summaries *in a timely manner. * Use *Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint *for documentation, data, and reporting. * Learn and independently operate new *process and test systems*. * Manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, *milestone-driven* manufacturing environment. * Follow defined procedures for *chemical handling and waste management*. *Qualifications for the role of Process Technician:* * *Associate's or bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering OR experience in high-tech manufacturing such as semiconductor, electronics, or fabrication industries.* * Strong *mechanical aptitude*. * Background in *electrical and electronics manufacturing* operations preferred. * Ability to learn and operate technical *process and testing equipment*. * Excellent *interpersonal *and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment and manage multiple tasks. * Strong *organizational *skills. * Competency with *Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint*. * Ability to follow detailed procedures and established *safety protocols*. *About Us:* *redShift Recruiting* is the region’s premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
