Right now, Public Sector organizations across every size and vertical are focused on improving uptime & performance to ensure high mission success, gaining greater scale & efficiency through projects like cloud adoption/migration, and accelerating time to market through speed and agility by embracing DevOps practices. With the massive market opportunity in front of us, there is not a more exciting time to join our team.What you'll doYou will have a track record of over-quota achievement and will grow an ambitious pipeline of business as a result of new logo acquisitions, with creativity, and simple hard work. You will navigate through complex Federal organizations and sell to multiple decision-makers.This role requires US Citizenship.Achieve growth and hit sales targets.Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.Personally engage in key account sales and ongoing customer success.Engage senior government executives in order to close sales opportunities.Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.Develop and continue to optimize the sales pipeline and forecast process with a focus on predictability.Define account strategies that allow the team to have the right potential to identify customer prospects and targets.Represent New Relic by driving sales opportunities with company partners.Measure and report results of sales against plan execution.Requirements5+ years field sales experience selling enterprise software or business technology products and services to the U.S. Federal government including the Department of Defense, national security sector, or civilian agencies.US Citizenship and Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret or higher) or similar U.S. government clearance.Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value and operational mission needs.Comfort with managing existing enterprise accounts and expanding into new agencies.Experience in consultative, enterprise solutions selling APM and/or Infrastructure related software tools.Outstanding track record of experiences and successes in growing a sales territory and exceeding assigned goals.Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses.Exemplary written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.Demonstrated experience with data management and analysis.Bachelor's degree.Bonus points if you havePrevious experience selling Observability solutions.Exposure to a consumption sales motion.Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.BenefitsNew Relic provides a variety of benefits for this role, including healthcare, dental, vision, parental leave and planning, mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, flex time-off, 11 paid holidays, volunteer time off, and other competitive benefits designed to improve the lives of our employees.Estimated On-Target Earnings Range$248,000 - $310,000 USDDiversity and InclusionFostering a diverse, welcoming and inclusive environment is important to us.
