5 STAR Event Services is looking for fun and safety-conscious people to join our guest services team at Doggett Ford Park in Beaumont, Texas for upcoming sports & music events. This is a permanent PART-TIME, hourly employment opportunity.Check out our current Event Calendar here: www.5starstaff.com/calendarDescriptionEvent Staff and Security Officers are responsible for the safety and comfort of all clients, guests, and other employees.Pay Range: $16.00+DutiesEnforce and uphold the integrity of public and private areas of the job locationMonitor entry and exit points to specific areasPerform routine search/inspection procedures including bag checks and screening of guests and their tickets, credentials, etc. prior to guest entry to ensure that no prohibited items enterGreet and direct guests to seating areas and various servicesMaintain open and smooth access routes of patron/vehicle walkwaysReceive and act on complaints from patrons according to policies and proceduresEnforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activityAid in the direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergenciesProvide security escorts per event requirementsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must also possess the following qualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalentAt least 18 years of ageReliable forms of communication and transportationLEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check.)Skills And AbilitiesA strong customer-service attitude and professional appearancePossess excellent written and oral communication skillsThe ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructionsThe ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employeesThe ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quicklyThe ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situationsPhysical RequirementsFull physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearlyThe ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)The ability to lift 25lbs.Work EnvironmentElevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud, and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Some of the events we work take place outside or in open-air venues and take place rain or shine.
