This role provides essential administrative and document support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring deadlines are met and client needs are exceeded in a fast-paced legal environment.Position OverviewThe Legal Assistant will deliver high-level administrative, organizational, and client support. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide proactive administrative support to attorneys and legal teamsEdit and proofread legal and administrative documents for accuracy and consistencyManage CLE credit tracking, calendaring, expense reimbursements, and schedulingGreet clients, coordinate meetings, and manage professional correspondenceFile documents electronically with courts and maintain organized case filesSupport billing processes including time entry and report preparationMonitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on pending mattersCommunicate with court personnel, attorneys, and staff as requiredRequired Qualifications (Must-Haves)Minimum of 3 years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience in a law firm or legal settingStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience proofreading and editing complex legal documents with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environmentProfessional written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experienceExperience with electronic court filing systemsPreferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)Familiarity with legal software such as Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, or iManageExperience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneouslyExperience tracking CLE credits, managing expense reimbursements, or assisting with billingKnowledge of litigation procedures, probate processes, or other legal specialties
