We strive to build long-term relationships with safety-focused customers who expect industry-leading service and performance.Job Summary: An experienced technician who performs Quality Audits on completed Locating Tickets and responsible for a variety of tasks related to utility protection for a variety of utility clients. The Watch and Protect technician will be responsible for overseeing contractors digging on and around utility facilities, and monitoring excavation to help prevent damage from being done to critical facilities.Perform Quality Audits ○ On-site audits of completed work should include Inspection of locate marks and marking standards for accuracy. o E-Sketch documentation o Billing and status codes used. o Screen capture and photo documentation review o Scope of the tickets work area completed. Be sure to focus on accuracy and marking standards while performing the audit. ○ Any serious concerns found during audits should be communicated to the supervisor immediately and addressed while onsite.In order to obtain employment with GridHawk LLC, candidates MUST complete a background check.Company policy requires no violations within the last 5 years.Candidates MUST also take and pass a DOT drug test.*** All employees of GridHawk LLC, are assigned proper technology and work vehicles in order to perform all work-related duties.We will provide you the tools you need to achieve including:Company vehicle, laptop and smartphoneUniforms and all personal protective equipment providedQualifications:High school diploma or GED certificateValid driver’s license2 years of experience in the locating industry Essential skills and experience:Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to read and interrupt prints at a high level.Multiple years locating and pipeline technician experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work smoothly with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customersGood organizational skills to be able to handle many varied tasks at onceKnowledge and understanding of safe worksite practicesExperience with the construction and installation of below grade infrastructure and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipmentWorking within and utilizing existing utility standard designsExperience with complex urban underground utility infrastructure and serving as firm/client liaisonReviewing design drawings created by othersPhysical Requirements:Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkwaysCapable of lifting up to 50/75lbsAbility to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periodsHand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instrumentsReasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.Work Environment:Work safely outside in all weather conditions year-roundOccasionally work in excavations areas and roadwaysOccasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibrationThe noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loudJob Type: Full-timeHourly***Pay varies based on experience***Benefits: All employees are eligible to receive some form of company benefits.
