Educational Aid MD Classrooms

The Preble County ESC is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an educational aides in our MD classroom program. These are full-time (Days based on School Calendar) positions with a start date of as soon as possible.Description: Under the immediate supervision of the classroom teacher, provide assistance to students in the Multiple Disabilities program in preparation and presentation of activities, supervision, and fulfilling behavior management plan directives.Salary: Starting at $15.80 per hourEssential FunctionsEnsure the safety of studentsMaintain respect at all times for confidential informationInteract in a positive manner with students, staff, parents, and administratorsAssist in the preparation and presentation of teacher-planned activitiesSupervise and monitor students in all school settings based on behavioral management plansWork with other MD staff in team decision-makingAssist students in the creation of recovery plans based on behavior management plans developed by teachers/supervisorsAssist in the completion of necessary documentation and paperwork for charting behavior and academic progressAttend work regularly and punctuallyDemonstrate positive work ethicQualificationsHigh School diplomaWork with students with behavioral difficultiesOhio Educational Aide certificateClear background checkPhysically capable of applying CPI techniques when necessary for student/staff safety
