In this role, you will perform a range of general lawn maintenance duties, including applying fertilizers, maintaining landscape designs, removing weeds and dead plants, and supervising repairs.As our landscaper, you will ensure the growth and vibrancy of our plants, flowers, lawn, and garden structures. The ideal candidate will be creative, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesApply pesticides to remove harmful insects such as mosquitoes, wasps, and ticksConduct general maintenance duties such as cleaning walkways, fixing fountains, and other assigned tasksApply fertilizer to enhance plant growthTrim overgrown limbs, hedges, and leaves, and remove weeds and dead plantsPlant new decorative bushes, flowers, plants, and shrubsSupervise maintenance and repairs to equipment, landscape structures, outdoor furniture, and walkwaysUphold the landscaping design and ensure healthy plant growthCoordinate with garden designers and landscape architects to ensure the garden meets client expectationsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of two years of landscape or grounds-related work experienceMust be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmersKnowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance preferredStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational skillsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsValid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the Company. May be required to acquire and maintain a specific applicator’s licensePreferred QualificationsKnowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods of landscaping and maintenance of lawns and formal plantingsAbility to determine the appropriate tools and equipment needed for a given jobAbility to operate riding and push mowers, power tillers, power edgers, weed whips, blowers, sprayers, tractors, skid steer loaders, dump-bed trucks, and basic hand toolsAbility to work in a safe and efficient mannerPhysical RequirementsThis position requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift, as well as talking, hearing, and seeing.The role involves spending the majority of time outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures for extended periods.
