IDR is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join a remote team building reliable back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytics applications. In this role, you’ll own production-ready microservices that support uptime, scale, and performance for real-world use cases.Position Overview for the Sr Software Engineer :Build and maintain cloud-based backend services and microservices that power analytics and clinical data use casesTurn product and technical requirements into production code in a modern programming languageCollaborate with PM/PO/architect partners to deliver features and improvements that meet reliability and scale goalsParticipate in Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and operational supportDiagnose and resolve complex production issues using root-cause analysis across application, data, and system layersContribute to architecture discussions and mentor junior engineers by leading project componentsRequired Qualifications for the Sr Software Engineer :BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) with 5+ years of software engineering experience, or AS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) with 7+ years of experience5+ years of hands-on experience building services or applications using a high-level language such as Go, Python, Java, or C# (C/C++ acceptable if recent service-building experience is demonstrated)Experience with modern engineering practices including coding standards, pull request/code review, source control, and build/test/operations workflowsStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to own deliverables with minimal guidanceAgile experience working in iterative development cyclesWork authorization to work in the United States (remote role)Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AzureFamiliarity with open-source technologiesExperience with data-heavy systems (databases, analytics/BI, big data, or data warehousing)Experience with distributed systems focused on performance, availability, and scalabilityHealthcare software exposureWhat’s in it for you?Competitive compensation packageFull Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, and moreOpportunity to work on mission-critical, reliability-focused systems that support clinical and analytics use casesCollaborative team environment with modern cloud and engineering practicesContract opportunity through the end of the yearWhy IDR?25+ Years of Proven Industry Experience in 4 major marketsEmployee Stock Ownership ProgramMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceClearlyRated's Best of Staffing® Client and Talent Award winner 12 years in a rowCompensation Range: $70 – 75/hour
