We are hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant in Beautiful Raleigh, NC for a high profile cardiac surgery group! The candidate must be proficient in Endocopic Vein Harvesting! This is a full time permanent position. The primary responsibility of this role with be to first or second assist with Adult Cardiac Surgery. This individual must have previous EVH experience. Experience with radial artery harvest preferred, but not required. When not in the operating room, this individual will be expected to assist with patient care management on the floor and in clinic. Schedule M-F, 5 8 hour shifts per week! Work only 1 in every 6 weekends! Excellent Quality of life schedule! This individual will be expected to take one weekday OR backup call per week (two weekdays every 4th week) and one weekend call every 4 weeks. The individual must live in a radius where they will be able to respond to calls within 45 minutes.We currently have 3 surgeons and We are currently doing about 500 Hearts per /year. There are currently 3 OR PAs (this is a replacement position for the 4th) and 2 APPs working on the  floor/clinic NPs. The surgeons are extremely supportive and appreciate of all the APP efforts.
