The Investment Research Analyst will bring strong data, analytical, and interpersonal skills to drive strong risk-adjusted returns in one of the largest financial markets in the world.Job SummaryThe Investment Research Analyst is an intermediate level position on the Structured Products Research team, designed for individuals seeking to grow an existing knowledge base in structured credit markets within a rigorous, research‑driven investment platform. The analyst will work closely with senior analysts, portfolio managers, and traders to contribute directly to the investment process by conducting in‑depth issuer, collateral, cash flow, and sector research across assigned structured product sectors.The Structured Products team manages over $69 billion of assets across Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) sectors, investing across the capital structure and on behalf of multiple client types. This role is well‑suited for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a willingness to embrace a research‑intensive environment focused on delivering superior investment outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop investment skills and abilities for primary research responsibility of one or more Structured Product sectorsInteract with issuers and dealers, attending meetings and conferences as neededCombine quantitative and qualitative research to form forward-looking investment viewsGather, manipulate, and store large amounts of data for analysis of investment opportunitiesComplete on-going surveillance of portfolio holdings to assess credit performanceBuild and maintain relationships with multiple sell-side partiesPropose and contribute to independent and group research projectsContribute to team discussions focused on investment opportunities and performanceComplete ad hoc projects at the direction of senior analysts and portfolio managersAutomate tasks to improve efficiency of investment processRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field with a strong academic record2-5 years of experience in structured products, securitized credit, fixed income research, trading, or riskExperience with common technical systems, including Intex and BloombergAcute attention to detail, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a proven ability to distill practical answers from large amounts of dataSelf-starter with an ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet time-sensitive deadlines, often with vague or unclear directionsPassion for investments and financial markets with an explicit interest in fixed income and structured productsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience collaborating effectively across teams and with clientsProgramming experience in any languagePreferred QualificationsResearch or trading experience in Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) or Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs)Experience With Aladdin Or Other Portfolio Management SystemsFamiliarity with a variety of AI applications and toolsAbility to scrub and query data from database systems using SQLProgress toward, willingness-to-complete, or completion of the CFA designationVisa SponsorshipApplicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).In-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
