HVAC Program Lead Instructor

Blue Cliff College is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Program Lead Instructor to help develop, launch, and lead a new HVAC training program . This is a hands‐on leadership role for an industry professional who is passionate about workforce development, student success, and building a high‐quality program aligned with current HVAC industry standards.The Program Lead Instructor will play a key role in curriculum development, lab setup, instructor mentoring, and classroom instruction while collaborating with administration and industry partners to ensure the program's long‐term success. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of a new HVAC training programTeach HVAC courses using effective instructional and hands‐on lab methodsDevelop, review, and update curriculum to align with industry certifications and employer needsAssist with program startup activities , including lab layout, equipment recommendations, and safety proceduresMentor and support adjunct or full‐time HVAC instructors as the program growsEnsure course objectives, learning outcomes, and assessments meet accreditation and regulatory standardsSupport student retention, engagement, and career readinessParticipate in advisory committee meetings and maintain strong industry partnershipsAssist with program evaluation, continuous improvement, and accreditation preparationQualifications Required: Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC industry experience (residential and/or commercial)EPA Section 608 CertificationStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, and safety practicesExcellent communication and leadership skillsCommitment to student success and professional integrityPreferred: Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experienceExperience developing curriculum or training programsAssociate's degree or higher in HVAC or a related technical fieldAdditional industry certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, etc.)Why Join Us Opportunity to build and shape a new HVAC program from the ground upInfluence curriculum, labs, and instructional approachWork in a mission‐driven environment focused on skilled‐trade workforce developmentCompetitive compensation and benefits packageProfessional development and growth opportunitiesSalary Negotiable.
