DescriptionPerformance Coach - Digital Retailing & Automotive Sales StrategyLocation: Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana | Extensive Travel Required (16+ days/month)The Dealer Performance Coach plays a critical role in supporting dealership partners through the successful implementation, adoption, and sustainment of Toyota SmartPath and related digital retailing tools. This role partners closely with dealership leadership, internal teams, and OEM field partners to drive performance, improve customer experience, and ensure long-term success with SmartPath.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with District Sales Managers (DSMs), Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and dealership leadership to support SmartPath rollout, adoption, and long-term sustainment Lead and support all phases of SmartPath implementation, including assessment, setup, training, and ongoing optimization Ensure full integration of SmartPath with dealership systems (DMS, CRM, and website platforms), collaborating with internal and external partners to resolve gaps Coach dealerships on aligning sales processes with SmartPath technology to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer experience Conduct sales process evaluations and customer journey mapping sessions to identify opportunities for improvement Utilize reporting tools (e.g., CRM data, web analytics, and performance dashboards) to monitor adoption, track KPIs, and drive data-informed coaching strategies Support dealerships in effectively leveraging digital retailing tools to increase engagement, conversion, and operational efficiency Deliver training to dealership teams including leadership, BDC, and sales staff both pre- and post-launch Develop and communicate implementation plans, timelines, and training schedules to dealership stakeholders Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to support installation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives Identify and escalate product or process issues, partnering with internal teams and OEM stakeholders to drive resolution Provide ongoing coaching and performance support to ensure sustained success and continuous improvement Qualifications3–7+ years of automotive, dealership, or OEM experience (digital retailing experience preferred) Strong understanding of dealership operations, sales processes, and CRM tools Experience with digital retailing platforms (Toyota SmartPath or similar solutions preferred) Proficiency with reporting tools and data analysis (CRM reporting, web analytics, Excel, etc.) Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of an organization Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Business acumen with the ability to connect process improvements to dealership performance outcomes Comfortable delivering training in both virtual and in-person environments What Success Looks LikeSuccessful SmartPath launches and high adoption rates across assigned dealerships Improved dealership performance through effective use of digital retailing tools Strong relationships with dealership partners and internal stakeholders Measurable improvements in customer experience and sales process efficiency
