Conditions of employment include:
New employees will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
New employees are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program.
The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.
This position is a cooperative agreement position.
As a candidate, you are required to provide documentation to verify meeting these minimum qualifications.
Must be able to obtain a completion of a favorable National Agency Check background investigation clearance.

Minimum requirements include:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Physical requirements include:
Ability to bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, grasp, push, and pull
Must have manual dexterity with hands and fingers
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. or more
Duties and responsibilities include:
Maintaining restrooms in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors
Cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls
Cleaning mirrors and water fountains
Dusting ledges and woodwork
Replacing deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels, and soap
Cleaning offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways and/or other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors
Operating lightweight cleaning equipment, i.e. vacuum cleaner, and polisher
Using mops, brushes, brooms, cloths, water, wax, soap, and cleaning solutions
Dusting, waxing, and polishing office furniture
Emptying ash trays and waste baskets
Polishing doorknobs and other metal fixtures
Washing walls, windows, blinds, and wall partitions that can be reached without climbing scaffolds
Policing grounds, picking up debris and trash from grounds and working areas, watering grass and flower beds, shrubs included, raking leaves, and maintaining base lawns
Maintaining stock of cleaning materials and implements required to perform assigned duties
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
Ability to safely work with manual, electrical powered cleaning equipment
Ability to read and understand instructions for hazardous materials/chemicals
Ability to distribute and monitor the use of supplies and materials
Ability to operate cleaning equipment to include: vacuum cleaners, high and low speed buffers and carpet cleaning equipment
Ability to clean and sanitize, according to procedure
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments in a timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers
Ability to utilize carpet cleaning equipment
Ability to report to work on time and ready to work
Ability to ensure compliance with OSHA, Environmental and Safety Guidelines
Knowledge of proper waste disposal
Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude
Must professionally interact with building occupants
