Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Writer - Life Sciences to work at their company in North Wales, PA.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:The Global Scientific & Value Content Ophthalmology team at the client is looking for a Scientific Content Writer. In this important role, you will create scientific/medical information content based on disease and product data for client colleagues to use and distribute with key scientific leaders and healthcare professionals in the medical and scientific industry. In this position, you will be responsible for:Creating new/updating Medical information letters, Slide decks, and FAQs according to the release of new data and monthly expiration reports and sending them through the review and approval processInteracting with team members to plan content development, as well as conducting independent literature searches to identify relevant new informationIncorporating new content accurately and appropriately into relevant documents through strong writing and editing skillsSolving problems associated with the scope of work and seeking advice from management and team members, as neededProviding flexibility to adjust to / take on new assignments, while maintaining strong organization of all tasks to meet expiration deadlines and key data releases.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in a scientific field.Min 2 years medical writing experience in a medical communications group required; experience supporting Ophthalmology-related (Retina) Diseases/Products, preferred.Previous involvement with creating materials for Medical Information/Field Medical Personnel, including but not limited to medical information letters, slide decks, frequently asked question (FAQ) documents; not looking for SOP or regulatory document writing experience.Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.An ideal candidate should have proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint, and EndNote; Veeva Vault MedComms experience is preferred.Effective literature searching, fact-checking, and data summarization skills.Can be fully remote, or in-person as needed (Upper Gwynedd, PA or Rahway, NJ).An ideal candidate is self-driven, flexible, organized, pays attention to detail and accuracy, and is able to complete assignments in a timely manner.
