Ophthalmic Technician Location: Avon, CO Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,152 to $1,296 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $32.00 - $36.00/Hourly. Summary: An Ophthalmic Technician assists ophthalmologists in providing eye care services. The technician performs preliminary eye examinations, prepares patients for procedures, and operates specialized equipment to test vision and eye health. Responsibilities: ⁠ Assists providers and other clinical staff with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care. Prepares patient for scheduled procedures. ⁠Perform ophthalmologic tests including visual acuity, applanation tonometry, pachymetry, visual fields, corneal topography, OCTs, lensometry, and other tests as directed within the prescribed timeline as determined by the clinic team. Obtain complete patient histories including chief complaint, past ocular/medical history, family medical/ocular history and history of allergies and medications and ensure accuracy and proper documentation in the patient’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). Fields patient phone calls promptly and in a professional manner. Requirements Requirements: 1 - Year experience Required, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) required, BLS Certification, Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or for Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician (COMT).
