Material Control Analyst I
I I Stanley Company, Inc., a leading supplier of automotive lighting products, was established in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1985. Founded on the principles of respect, trust, and value, we serve a wide range of customers – domestic and foreign – by supplying them with high-quality automotive headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to control the flow of material from suppliers and offsite locations in the material store
Control the inventory levels to the minimum required based on shipping patterns
Maintain timely and accurate records of material delivery shipments from suppliers
Establish and maintain a systematic method for the ordering and delivery of daily production
Control on hand and incoming inventory volumes
Manage build outs and obsolescence
Assist in controlling transportation to allow rapid inventory turns and controlled flow of material across dock
Order material for new model build based on new product assembly schedules
Escalate delivery and quality problems to advance purchasing
Adhere to current industry quality standards
Complete other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of the immediate supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of purchasing experience
Proficient in Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently or in a group environment
Able to meet deadlines and complete accurate work without interruptions
OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:
3-5 years of purchasing experience
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain
High school diploma with equivalent experience without degree
