Contract Staff Accountant - AP

Job Overview:Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant - AP on behalf of our client, a manufacturer specializing in high-performance polymers and chemical solutions for various industries.This position is responsible for managing accounts payable functions and supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, reconciliations, and reporting while maintaining compliance with internal controls. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective vendor relationships.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle accounts payable processingProcess and verify vendor invoices with accuracy and timelinessMaintain accurate vendor account records and reconcile discrepanciesPrepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reportsManage outgoing cash flow to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on timePerform vendor account reconciliationsCorrespond with suppliers to resolve payment issues, disputes, and inquiriesEnsure compliance with company policies and internal controlsAssist with month-end closing processes and reporting deadlinesSupport additional accounting duties as assignedRequirements include:Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting requiredExperience:Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experienceExperience managing accounts payable functionsManufacturing industry experience preferredSkills:Strong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to manage payment schedules and prioritize deadlinesStrong organizational and time management skillsEffective communication skills for vendor correspondenceCertifications:CPA or other accounting certifications preferred but not requiredKnowledge:Accounts payable processes and internal controlsMonth-end close proceduresERP systems or relational databases preferredExperience with Navision strongly preferredKey Competencies:Detail-oriented and process-drivenStrong sense of accountability and ownershipAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProfessional communication and vendor relationship managementFinancial accuracy and compliance mindsetCollaborative team playerHow to Apply:To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
